The funny thing is, people were “connecting” with Santana before she even had a storyline - back when she was just a bitchy cheerleader, people still worshipped her. I think Santana’s had a certain amount of love given to her because she is hot, she’s portrayed as sexual, and because she’s kind of the Anti-Quinn and Anti-Rachel.
