That's just as problematic reducing Santana's appeal to sex. She obviously connects to fans in many different important ways and trivializing that is dismissive.

Would these people feel connected to her if she was played by someone they thought was ugly? It’s also pretty hard to deny that she is Glee’s most sexual character (which is probably related to Naya doing shoots for magazines like FHM and Maxim). She’s not just sex, but she definitely is sexual, which I think plays a huge part in why people like her. Not that that’s a bad thing - to have a sexual female character who, you know, isn’t ashamed of it.
